Previously, this free upgrade was only available for those people who had purchased the game, but PlayStation Plus owners of it can now add some razzle-dazzle to their version on Sony’s newest console.

Evil Dead- The Game Review – Somewhat Groovy

Horror fans are living in a golden age. It seems like a few major horror franchises are adapted into games every year, most often in the asymmetrical multiplayer genre. Casting a group of friends as hapless survivors against another player hunting them as a supernatural foe is a great idea on paper every time, even as end results can dramatically vary. Evil Dead: The Game doesn’t stray far from this foundational premise. However, it smartly leans on its B-movie hijinx to deliver fans something worthy of being in their horror game rotation, even if it doesn’t have the soul to swallow all of their time single-handedly.

While Evil Dead: The Game is its official title, you could rightly call it Fan Service: The Game instead. Drawing from the original three movies a…

Baldur's Gate 3 Adds Paladins And Reworks Reactions In The Last Major Update Before Release

The last content patch before Baldur’s Gate 3’s August 2023 release adds the Paladin class, reworked Reactions, and the ability to reach level five.

As fans of Dungeons and Dragons may know, Paladins are bound by an oath. In Baldur’s Gate 3, you can take one of two oaths. The first, Oath of the Ancient, sees you pledge to preserve the natural world; you can call upon your oath to cast Healing Radiance and heal nearby allies. The second, Oath of Devotion, requires you to pledge to protect justice and order. You can call on this oath to cast Holy Rebuke. This spell surrounds an ally with an aura that deals 1d4 damage to anyone that melee attacks them. Paladins of any subclass can spend a spell slot to cast Divine Smite and add radiant damage to weapon damage.

Dr. Mario Insurance Parody Game Gets Harder If Your Plan Is Bad

Healthcare in the United States is ridiculously expensive and can actually lead to a higher average per-person cost than in countries with publicly funded systems. A new totally unlicensed Dr. Mario game, playable right in your browser, puts your own health plan into context by changing the puzzle game’s difficulty.

The game, called Dr. Mario Insurance, is a sort of guerrilla marketing effort to increase support and awareness for a Medicare for All healthcare system. To play, you enter your name, the type of healthcare plan you have, and your yearly deductible. Depending on what you select, you’ll start closer or farther away from the very top of the screen. With a PPO plan and a $2,000 yearly deductible, you only get a few lines to work with before the game is over–and your savi…

Fortnite Ariana Grande Rift Tour- Watch It Here

Ariana Grande’s Fortnite Rift Tour event is now over following a series of five showings that spanned the weekend. If you weren’t able to take part yourself or want to catch a replay, you can rewatch the entire concert-esque event below. Grande’s performance was the headliner, but the complete in-game event took players on a spacetime-hopping journey through Fortnite’s illustrious history, and it marked a return to form for Fortnite.

As players danced and emoted atop the party-themed Abductor hovering over The Aftermath, the countdown timer ticked away to zero and revealed a large Rift door at the center of the Abductor. Jumping into it took players on an expedition that showcased past Fortnite performances, like Marshmello, while also revisiting past story-heavy scenes like Kevin…

For Honor Review

Melee-focused action games have spent years enacting the fantasy of engaging in armed combat, fortunately sparing us the hours of rigorous training and resolve it takes to actually do so in real life. But For Honor, Ubisoft’s third-person weapon-based arena combat game, is different from other melee-focused action games, like Dark Souls or Dynasty Warriors. Its combat system is simple on the surface, but executing its more advanced tactics requires a patient mind, as well as an understanding of its deliberate pacing. There are not many games quite like For Honor. It’s an incredibly entertaining fighter that’s satisfying both in single and multiplayer, even despite the narrative flaws of its story mode.

Its fantasy medieval world is populated by three of history…

Fortnite Is Going Back To Chapter 1 In Next Big Update, But Still Includes Sprinting And Mantling

Epic Games has announced that the next major update for the popular battle royale game Fortnite will take players “back to Chapter 1,” which seems to confirm the rumor that the game’s original map will make its return. The update lands on November 3, Epic said, tagging its social media post with “#FortniteOG,” to presumably reference the early days of the game.

Epic’s tweet also mentions that players can “sprint (or mantle, your choice) back to Chapter 1,” and this wording suggests the rumors that sprinting and mantling would be removed are not true. Before this, Epic boss Mark Rein posted a not-so-cryptic message on social media, stating, “My word for the next season of Fortnite is: rewind.”

Elden Ring- Where To Get The Bull-Goat's Talisman

Finding all of the talismans in Elden Ring isn’t going to be a quick or painless affair. In the case of the Bull-Goat’s Talisman, though, you don’t have to beat the dungeon in which it resides, so you can pick it up pretty much whenever you’re ready–as long as you’re able to stealth past a huge bear. In this guide, we’ll tell you where to find this poise-enhancing talisman.

Bull-Goat’s Talisman explained

The Bull Goat’s Talisman raises your poise, which will increase how many hits you can take before becoming staggered. This can be especially useful against aggressive opponents in PVP.

Frogger Video Game Getting A Competition Series At Peacock

Peacock has ordered a competitive game show-style adaptation of the iconic 1981 arcade game Frogger. According to a release, a debut date has not yet been set on the streaming service, but 13 hour-long episodes have been ordered to see how it fares with audiences.

As in the classic game where a frog must cross a busy road and busier river, the show Frogger will feature “physically demanding challenges [which] will see contestants dodge treacherous traffic, leap over snapping gators, and hop over hungry hippos to conquer the course.” The show will feature a dozen obstacle courses or “crossings.”

What’s more, the show–which will film in Australia–is also currently holding a casting call for contestants via this website. Once past the age gat…

If you’re wanting to build everything Disney Dreamlight Valley has to offer, you’ll be gathering a whole lot of materials to do so. One of those you’re going to need is Dry Wood, which is used to craft a variety of different pieces of furniture and is occasionally required to complete quests. Where to get Dry Wood in Disney Dreamlight Valley

  • Frosted Heights
  • Sunlit Plateau

Because wood drops are random, you may find that there aren’t many pieces of Dry Wood when you visit these locations. If that happens, pick up all of the other types of wood around …

Borderlands- The Pre-Sequel – Claptastic Voyage Review

In Claptastic Voyage, you learn that there is more inside Claptrap’s rusted head than bugs, dubstep remixes, and horrible loneliness. Nestled deep in his chrome dome lies a particular MacGuffin desired by Jack above all: the H-Source, a powerful code, used to unlock Hyperion’s greatest assets, such as badass weapons. Without other options, Jack digitizes his chosen vault hunters, sending them into Claptrap’s mind. They do battle against vicious bugs and viruses, all the while exorcising some of Claptrap’s inner demons. The story occurs after the events of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and at last explains how the plucky robot goes from accomplished vault hunter to fending off bullymongs in the frozen wastelands of Borderlands 2. But where Claptastic Voyage excels, such as in it…

Fortnite Fan-Made Video Recaps The Biggest Moments Of Chapter One

Fortnite has come a long way since it first debuted, pioneering multiple gameplay systems and an evolving storyline over the years that other games would in turn adopt. Currently in its third chapter of storylines, newcomers to the battle royale have missed out on a lot of story over the years, but one Fortnite fan has put together a brief highlight reel of the game’s debut season.

Over on Twitter, Nate Evans aka Nexiph uploaded a loop of major Fortnite events, ranging from the game’s humble beginnings through to the Blast Off, Ice Storm, and Final Showdown events. It’s just under a minute long, but it’s a great recap that shows just how Fortnite has come over the years.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Will End With Two Fewer Seasons Than Chapter 1, Here's Why

Fortnite Chapter 2 is ending. Epic has finally revealed that poorly-kept secret after about six weeks of rumors that grew and grew to the point where much of the fandom accepted it as fact long before the developer was ready to announce it. That means Fortnite Season 8 will be the final season of Chapter 2, and likely the final season on the island of Apollo before the assumed Chapter 3 ushers in a whole new world.

Some players have wondered about the reasoning behind that decision: Why is this chapter two seasons shorter than its predecessor? Though Epic has not publicly expressed why this chapter won’t make it the full 10 seasons, I think the answer is staring right at us. We need only to check our calendars.

We didn’t know Fortnite was even b…

Yip yip! A new leak points to Aang dropping into Fortnite on an Appa glider in the upcoming future. That’s right: An Avatar: The Last Airbender collaboration could be on the horizon for one of the world’s most popular games.

According to iFireMonkey on X (formerly known as Twitter), Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 will reportedly feature an Avatar mid-season event with an Aang skin. There will apparently be a mini-pass available that offers additional rewards as well. Currently, there is something similar happening in Fortnite with a TMNT crossover called the Cowabunga event.

A Quiet Place Is Becoming A Single-Player, Story-Driven Horror Adventure Game

Paramount’s very popular movie series A Quiet Place is getting turned into a video game. Set for release in 2022, the game is coming from Saber Interactive, iLLOGIKA, and EP1T0ME.

It will be an “untold story of survival” set in the A Quiet Place universe. That suggests it might tell an original story as opposed to following the events of the films.

According to the official description, the game “captures the compelling suspense, emotion and drama for which the series is famous.”

Developers who worked on the Rainbow Six and Far Cry franchises are among those working on the new game. Saber Interactive, which is owned by Embracer, is publishing the game.

There is no word yet on platforms for the A Quiet Place game, nor have we seen any images or video. It is descri…

Fire Emblem- Three Houses Review – The Good Fight

Fire Emblem: Three Houses asks a lot of you. Every piece, from battle to friendships to training your units, must be managed both individually and as part of a whole. It can be intimidating, but when it all clicks together, it really clicks. Mastering the art of thoughtful lesson planning as a professor improves your performance on the battlefield, where success relies on calculated teamwork and deft execution. Cultivating relationships during battle in turn draws you closer to each of the characters, who you then want to invest even more time into in the classroom. Every piece feeds into the next in a rewarding, engrossing loop where you get lost in the whole experience, not just in the minutiae.

Three Houses casts you as a mercenary who, while out on…

GTA 6- Could Actor From GTA 5 Also Be In The New Game- Ned Luke Weighs In

Actor Ned Luke, who played Michael in GTA V, recently appeared on Larry Lawton’s YouTube show, and the interview began with a bang. Lawton introduced Luke as “Michael from Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto VI.” This would be a pretty big reveal, as so far, there have been zero actors or characters confirmed for GTA VI so far beyond Lucia.

The camera then cuts back to Luke, who is sporting an extremely shocked face. Luke attempts to clarify the situation, saying, “I’m not in… we don’t… GTA 6 is unknown things right now. Just to make that clear.”

Fortnite Will Now Let You Block Its Most Toxic Emotes

There are a handful of Fortnite emotes that have become primarily known for their toxicity, and Epic Games is taking the unusual step of adding a toggle to the game settings that will allow you to never have to see other players do them.

The setting in question, which will be implemented in Tuesday’s update that kicks off Fortnite Festival Season 3, is the “See Confrontational Emotes” toggle under Account and Privacy. There are three options: Always see them, never see them, or only see them if your party members are doing them. If you choose to block these emotes, players will appear motionless to you, as if they hadn’t fired off an emote at all, when they use one of them. But regardless of which option you choose, you’ll always be able to see and hear the emotes if you

George RR Martin Gives Several Game Of Thrones Prequel Updates, And One For Winds Of Winter

While Game of Thrones may have ended on HBO in 2019, it’s the fantasy franchise that simply keeps on giving. That’s due almost entirely to the myriad of spin-offs in development by WarnerMedia. In fact, there are so many in the works at this point that it might be hard to keep track of.

Thankfully, franchise creator–and A Song of Ice and Fire author–George RR Martin has provided an update on practically everything Thrones-related in the pipeline, including the long-delayed Winds of Winter novel. And no, you shouldn’t get your hopes up about that one just yet.

Martin outlined progress on several of the projects in a post on his blog, sharing a mixture of information we know, confirmed rumors, and news that should get you a bit excited. For simp…

FX's Alien Series Adds Wheel Of Time Star

FX’s upcoming Alien series has resumed production in Thailand after halting last year during the Hollywood strikes. And now that the show is filming again, Deadline is reporting that Sandra Yi Sencindiver has joined the cast of Alien.

Outside of Danish cinema and television, Sencindiver is best known in America for her roles in Apple TV+’s Foundation and Prime Video’s The Wheel of Time. She has also lent her voice to Assassins Creeds: Valhalla.

Sencindiver is slated to appear in multiple episodes of Alien as a senior member of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, the corrupt company that was previously established in the films. Deadline also notes that “there’s scope for the character to grow in future series,” which suggests that Sencindiver’s character may ret…

Dying In Call Of Duty- Warzone Can Now Turn You Into A Zombie

As Verdansk is being overrun by zombies, dying in Call of Duty: Warzone can now turn players into the fleshing-eating undead–under very specific circumstances.

First, zombification doesn’t happen in Solo play. To become a zombie, players must be in a team in Duos, Trios, or Quads. After that, players have to land at Ship Wreck or Prison in Verdansk. But wait, there’s more to this.

Once at Ship Wreck or Prison, players will come into contact with some amorphous green gas that deals continuous damage. Dying to this gas will redeploy players as a zombie with three distinct abilities: a Charged Jump, EMP Blast, and Gas Grenade.

From Software Wants Bloodborne On PC Too

Fans have been clamoring for Bloodborne on other platforms, including PC and PS5. While its PS4 version is backwards compatible on PS5, fans still want to play an enhanced version with features such as improved framerates and higher resolution. As it turns out, many From Software developers want a PC port, too.

In an interview with PC Gamer, director Hidetaka Miyazaki was asked once again about the possibility of Bloodborne on PC. Except this time around, he was specifically asked if he personally wanted to see it happen.

He pointed to producer Yasuhiro Kitao and interpreter Bobby Simpson and said, “I know for a fact these guys want a Bloodborne PC port. If I say I want one, I’ll get in trouble as well. But it’s nothing I’m opposed to.”

Miyazaki continued by explaining…

Former Blizzard Executives Mike Morhaime And Chris Metzen Respond To Harassment Lawsuit

Following California’s recent lawsuit against Activision Blizzard that documents allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination against women, Blizzard co-founder Mike Morhaime and Diablo co-creator Chris Metzer–both of whom are no longer working at the company–have responded.

Morhaime released a statement Friday night in which he said the lawsuit was “very disturbing and difficult to read.”

“I am ashamed. It feels like everything I thought I stood for has been washed away. What’s worse but even more important, real people have been harmed, and some women had terrible experiences,” he said.

Morhaime was at Blizzard from the beginning, spending 28 years with the company before departing in 2018. He said he tried to establish an environment that was “safe and welc…

Game Developers React To Xbox Closing Down Multiple Studios

Earlier today, it was revealed that Xbox is shutting down four of its studios. The studios included Redfall developer Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks. Since the announcement, various developers across the industry have voiced their opinions on the matter.

Dinga Bakaba, the director of Akrane Lyon, shared their thoughts in a series of posts on X/Twitter. Bakaba called Microsoft’s recent decision “absolutely terrible” and continued by saying, “To any executive reading this, friendly reminder that video games are an entertainment/cultural industry, and your business as a corporation is to take care of your artists/entertainers and help them create value for you.”

Gran Turismo 7 Continues To Be Review Bombed On Metacritic

Gran Turismo 7 players are not happy with the racing series’ latest release, and they are making their voices heard. In response to a maintenance outage lasting almost two days, as well as complaints about aggressive microtransactions, players have review bombed Gran Turismo 7 on Metacritic, pushing its user score to a dismal 1.8 at the time of writing.

When reported by Kotaku, the game’s user score was sitting at 2.8, and has only been pushed lower since then. Reviewers cite complaints such as not being able to resell cars on the marketplace, developer Polyphony Digital cutting the amount of in-game currency earned by racing, long maintenance periods, the game’s always-online playstyle, and more.
